Description

A woman gives a determined man a run for his love in this Green Mountain Romance from the New York Times bestselling author of It’s Only Love.

Charlotte “Charley” Abbott has gone out with every guy under thirty-five in Butler, Vermont—except for one. Tyler Westcott’s attempts to date her may be determined, and frequent, but Charley can’t stand how he acts like he knows her better than she knows herself. So when Tyler turns up at the running club Charley joined to train for a marathon, she’s almost ready to quit before she even gets started.

Tyler knows that behind Charley’s prickly personality and dismissive attitude is a sweet woman he wants in his life. And when Charley suffers an injury while training, Tyler is ready to prove that the perfect man for her has been right there all along...

I loved Charley and Tyler's story! They may have just become my favorite Green Mountain couple. Tyler is everything a woman could want in a man and his devotion to Charley is wonderful. Charley is so headstrong and actually reminds me of one of my daughters. I enjoyed how much she grew in this book and learned to trust again. Great book!

Ain't She Sweet is the newest glimpse into the lives of the Abbott family. Ms. Force teased the relationship between Tyler and Charley in a previous book and I was anxious to see how Tyler was going to win over the heart of wary Charley. I see so much of myself in Charley - someone who can be strong and argumentative and contrary as a defense mechanism. Charley faults herself for not seeing what was happening to her previously, so she's decided to protect herself from heartbreak again. Tyler is the perfect man to break through Charley's tough exterior to see the emotional woman underneath. I love how insightful and thoughtful Tyler is - he's able to determine early-on that something is driving Charley to be the way that she is and he's determined to tread lightly but deliberately. I love how attentive Tyler is to Charley. I just really love everything about Tyler. Charley is a character that you love - even though she makes it hard - and there are times that you want to smack her upside the head. I enjoyed watching her transition as she grew to trust Tyler and open herself up to things she didn't think she ever wanted again. I felt much like the residents of Butler when they were worried about Fred. I was surprised it took so long for Fred to make an appearance and I was a little disappointed that we didn't see more of him in the story - maybe he's been off mourning the loss of his first love (Cameron). As with all Ms. Force's romances, the intimacy is steamy and well done. The characters certainly got creative while Charley was recuperating from the injury that landed her in Tyler's house in the first place!

Once again, Marie developed characters that live in a three-dimensional space in my head and heart. I am continually amazed at how each of her characters has his or her own personality and realtionships, even in the intimate details. I love to follow the character development from previous books and anticipate the possiblities of future books. The reoccurring thread of Fred the beloved moose and humor with Linc and Elmer’s plotting are endearing. Reading Marie’s books are a love-hate experience for me. I love to read and find out what is next, and I hate knowing every page I am closer to the end and having to wait for another new story. "Ain’t She Sweet" is the latest example of Marie’s magic skill at capturing the essense of “real" people, filled with flaws, hopes, dreams, disappointments, and the enduring spirit of moving forward. I read a lot of books. I enjoy and follow several authors, reading everything they publish; yet there is a magic in Marie Force’s story telling that is another level of talent. Her characters, the weaving of her storylines, the dialogues, and experiences are three-dimensional and solid from the start to end of each book. This is the sixth book in a can’t miss family, and each book in the series, I think can’t possibly be better than the previous book, and once again, Marie tells a new story and proves me wrong. Loved this story!

The anticipation for another Marie Force book is always exciting. However while reading "Ain't She Sweet", it was more than excitement I felt. Tyler is SO patient and Charley is SO stubborn, you can't help but love them to pieces. So it seemed like I was reading at warp speed, because I couldn't get enough!!! If it wasn't for work, family obligations and the need for sleep, I believe I would have finished sooner. Alas, now we must wait for the next amazing couple to enjoy their journey to an HEA!! Let the anticipation begin!!

I think this is my favorite Green Mountain book so far! Charley & Tyler's story was so romantic & HOT. Tyler was a great romantic, sexy hero & Charley was so stubborn & funny. Every time I start one of Marie's new books, I wonder if she will make me love it as much as the others. I've read all her books & she's never let me down!
