The first half very interesting. The 2nd took a far upside down turn into huh what. Somehow the author managed to pull it all together into a very plausible cohesive finish. Congrats.

Overly long book. Rather than build the story, the author just added another trip after another after another.. Death every where but only 4 young scientists involved in deciphering the problem - beyond believable

Good book. Gives you a lot to think bout. My wife and I were just discussing the polarity shift about two days before I started reading this, so this was very apropos.

Scudiere takes an interesting scientific theory, magnetic pole shift, and spins out an intriguing tale on the edges of science and believable fantasy. The main characters are strongly written even when the story stops and starts. I know the setting of the book well, having grown up nearby, which added a level of interest I can't promise every reader.
