Description

The heat was staggering and she began to feel light headed. But she wasn’t leaving without him.

Alabama didn’t have a good start to life. Emotionally and physically abused by her mama, Alabama spent her high school years in foster care. People let her down, time after time, and she’d learned to rely on only herself.

Christopher “Abe” Powers earned his nickname because he tolerated nothing less than absolute honesty from the people around him. Finding the bar scene stale and having watched his friend and teammate, Wolf, find the woman of his dreams, Abe was determined to find someone to share his life with too.

Alabama and Abe had no idea their paths would cross and their prayers would be answered, but like most things in life, nothing is ever as easy as it seems at first. Two words would change both their lives and they’d have to fight hard for their happy ever after.

**Protecting Alabama is a stand-alone love story. It’s Book 2 in the SEAL of Protection Series.**

  • Unbelievably amazing

It’s hard to write a review for this one without giving away too much of the plot, but my absolute favorite thing about this book is Alabama’s strength, self respect, and heart. If you’re ever feeling down and need to get your hope in humanity reignited, give this book a read. The power of forgiveness is amazing for the soul. I cry every time I reread it and it always makes me realize how strong women are when we need to be but don’t worry, it has the best of happy endings !

This book was a great second in this series. It offered a great change of Pace. The battle was not an outside force or terrorist but it was an inner demon. Wonderful romance.

Alabama is a kind, honest, and very decent person despite having had an abusive childhood. She meets Christopher, “Abe” when she helps save his and others’ lives during a fire. Christopher is a SEAL and Alabama’s actions not only impress him, it they make him admire her and take an interest in her. I love the navy SEALs and the unique and strong women they come to fall for.

Very juvenile writing and unrealistic characters. I didn’t even finish the book.

This is the 2nd book in this series and it just seem to get better with each book! This book had me swooning, on the edge of my seat and then out of the blue I was cracking up! I love a Susan Stokers books because she know how to make you feel like you are a part of the community she's created! Christopher & Alabama love story will have you wanting to scream, strangle someone and then craving to find your own SEAL!

I read and LOVED Protecting Caroline so naturally I jumped to the next book in the series and can't believe how horrible it was! I could barely finish reading it. The whole story line felt rushed and unrealistic. Abe meets Alabama and immediately breaks it off with his girlfriend and is referring to this homely, quiet girl as "his woman". Their first date he says "Tell me everything. I want to know all about you. " What guy does that? Especially a womanizing military man. I couldn't believe some of the things I was reading in the story line. It felt like the book was written by a high schooler! Caroline kept you on the edge of your seat with all of the action but Alabama was a dragged out unrealistic story. It didn't feel like it was written by the same author as Caroline. I'm leary of reading any farther into this serious as it was a waste of money to purchase this book.

This was horrid. The writing was at about a 5th grade level. The grammar was putrid. (Was there an editor?) An author and an editor should know that "orientate" is NOT a word. In addition, the author forgot details in her own story. She mentions that Ace knew that Alabama was a janitor (the realty party scene), but later has Alabama agonizing over how to tell Ace she's a janitor. ? Don't waste your time.
