Description

As proud as she was of getting this far on her own, a little help right now would be very appreciated.

Blind since birth, Corrie Madison relies on her other sharpened senses in her job as a chiropractor. Never did she imagine she’d have to depend on them to identify a killer. But when a man enters her practice, murdering everyone in his path, Corrie is the only witness—putting her directly in the killer’s crosshairs.

Officer Quint Axton wasn’t looking for love, or even a relationship, until he meets Corrie. Beautiful and brave, resilient and intelligent, she’s everything Quint wants—if he can keep her alive long enough to explore their mutual attraction. The threats on Corrie’s life are escalating. Surely a blind person is helpless against a ruthless killer?
Hardly. Corrie is about to prove that disabled does not equal defenseless.

**Justice for Corrie is the 3rd book in the Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

Quint is the cop of the group, working for SAPD. When he meets Corrie, he’s struck by both her pluck and her beauty. Corrie has been blind since birth, but she’s never let it get in the way of her goals. She’s a successful chiropractor, has great friends and enjoys her life. Then tragedy happens at her office, leaving her the sole survivor and witness. When she almost literally runs into Quint, there’s something about him that stays with her, makes her feel safe. This is Quint and Corrie’s story and it’s good! The attraction, the way they each learn more about one another, and the level of suspense make this a great story.

Is an interesting read and I would have given it 5 stars, except for the F word and the explicit bedroom scenes. I guess lots of people must enjoy such.

Wow! Each story from Susan Stoker is better than the last! Corrie is a strong, independent woman whose blindness since birth has sharpened her observations skills. I loved the immediate attraction between Corrie and Officer Quint when he responds to her chiropractic clinic after it is attacked in a mass murder. His acceptance of her blindness and the need for routine and neatness in her life is compassionate and a wonder to her. Neither was looking for a relationship, but they have met their match! The suspense begins to build right away as we get to experience the thoughts and words of the killer as he stalks Corrie and plans how to keep her from helping the authorities identify and locate him and his boss. The strong heroine and her alpha male and their circles of friends make this story even better. I couldn't put this book down until I reached the end!

I received an Authors copy for my honest opinion. Loved Corrie and Quint. Corrie is a chiropractor who is blind and witnessed a crime. Quint is a police officer who will do everything to keep Corrie safe. Corrie was such a strong heroine, intelligent and self reliant. The story was great with much suspense. Love all Susan's books, this author can do no wrong in my opinion. If you love alpha males and strong heroines then I recommend this author. *5 STARS*

I received an ARC for an honest review... Corrie is a chiropractor who happens to be blind. While waiting for her Assistant to go over some test results for a patient, she hears a gunman come in and start shooting. Quint is a SAPD officer who thinks he is coming to the rescue when Corrie and a busboy collide. Little does he know how strong and self-sufficient Corrie is. But he is enthralled by Corrie from the beginning. Little does Quint and Corrie know the gunman is watching them, plotting and planning on how he is going to get to Corrie. But the gunman uses Corrie's best friend and her partner to get to Corrie. Will Corrie's blindness hinder her or will she use it to her advantage? Does Corrie escape and does Quint and Corrie get their HEA. You will just have to read the book to get those answers. Once again Ms. stoker publishes an Exceptional book that you won't want to miss.

This is the second book in the Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes series, but it is not necessary to read the first two books first in order to enjoy this one...the author does a fine job of tying the characters from the first two books into this story. The story of Corrie, a Chiropractor, blind since birth, finds herself in a chilling position and Quint, an officer with the San Antonio Police Department is her one hope for safety. Ms Stoker, as with all her books, does a wonderful job giving both characters so much, well for a lack of a better word, character. They are both strong on their own, but together, no one is going to come between them. Corrie, though blind is completely self sufficient and Quint is both her emotional and physical champion. The chemistry between them nearly jumps off the page making them so very real in many different ways. I look forward to reading more from the characters in the series and truly enjoy how the author sets the stage for the next book at the end of this one. This book was provided by the author for my honest review.

I received an ARC in return for an honest review. Susan Stoker has done it again! This book was gripping, sweet, sassy, and touched on real-life topics of interest. Justice For Corrie is the third book in the series, but can be read as a stand alone. There are characters in this book that were in the previous books, so you may want to read them first, but it's not necessary. The story starts off with Corrie "witnessing" the murders of her co-workers. Little do the bad guys know, she's blind. Of course, they find out later she's blind, but don't know that at first. Corrie was born blind, but her parents raised her to function very well in society. She has a job, friends, family, and her own apartment. Lieutenant Quint Axton meets Corrie in a diner as she stumbles into a busboy. One thing leads to another and he finds himself drawn to Corrie, wanting to "protect" her. In his mind, he knows she is able to do for herself, but thinks she's "fragile". Corrie proves him wrong! This story touches on unconventional relationships, loan sharks, and living as a blind person. I absolutely LOVED that Quint learned Braille for Corrie. He made sure he made adjustments in his life so she'd feel safe and comfortable. Through this story, I "felt" as though I could identify with Corrie. She was unsure of how Quint would see her when she took her eyes out, but was brave. I loved his inner geekiness that wanted to know every detail of how she lived her life. He truly tried to put himself in her shoes several times, trying to "be" blind. He realized how brave and strong she truly was. This is a must read in my opinion! Wonderful, suspenseful, romantic, educational, and sassy all at the same time.....
