"They call me devil, liar, thief. In whispers, they call me Soul Eater. They’re right. I’m all those things—and more."

Kicked out of the underworld and cursed to walk this earth for all eternity, Ace Dante finds solace in helping others avoid the wrath of the gods.

But when warrior-bitch, Queen of Cats, and Ace's ex-wife, Bastet, hires him to stop whoever is slaughtering her blessed women, Ace is caught between two of the most powerful deities to have ever existed: Isis and Osiris.

The once-revered gods aren’t dead.

They’re back.

And Ace is in their way.

Welcome to a New York where the ancient gods roam.

I really liked this book!!! The storyline was interesting. The fact that the writer only involved Egyptian gods, instead of gods from every culture, was fascinating and new. I read one review that said this book was just written porn, and that made me laugh because that really could be farthest from the truth. There is sex in this story, but only one scene. The writer said what was happening without really describing it in too much detail. I have read other Paranormal Romances that would make this one seem seem like it nothing, as far as written sexual experiences go. The one scene will not burn your eyes, or shock you with its blistering descriptions of sex. As a matter of fact, If that one scene bothered them so much, then they add reading the wrong genre because it’s laughable how much was not described when it could have been taken to a whole other level. This book is in no way considered Paranormal Erotica. So, if that’s not your thing, then have no worries that your sensibilities will be offended. This is just not that kind of book. It was a fast read though, and very well written. It also left a lot of unanswered questions that cleverly made me want to go to the next book in the series just to see what happens. So, if you are looking for something different, a smidgen of romance, and a fascinating tale that includes Egyptian Theology, then this is most definitely your series. Happy Reading!!!

Thought it was a good action packed book, however has a lot of sexual action and is rather short. Story is intriguing.

Borderline porn pretending to be a fantasy novel. Don't waste your time
