Love Another Day is classic Lexi. Plenty of action, intrigue, wonderful characters, the McKay Taggert crew, humor and a love story that captured me from the very start. Stephanie, who is a doctor at her clinic in Africa, and Brody, who works at McKay Taggert Knight in London, fall in love during his assignment to protect her. The story behind this assignment is very interesting on its own but you have to read the book for that. Both are fighting their own demons so Brody abruptly leaves after they spend one blistering night together. When danger threatens, Stephanie runs to Dallas with precious cargo to seek protection. Brody learns she is in danger and immediately comes to her aid. As if there hasn't been enough action already this is when it really gets exciting. With mercenaries intent on murder following, this is where the whole beloved McKay Taggert team get involved to help one of their "family". This story can be a standalone, but is so much better if you have read the series. These people become like friends you don't want to leave at the end of the book! I enjoyed this so much I'm going to read the series again. Thank you Lexi for these wonderful people and this wonderful story!

This is a great series. I can't put it down once I start reading them and hate when It ends. Ian Taggert is a great character in these books. Please keep writing them.

I loved this book! In keeping with the theme of the others in this series there is intrigue, angst, danger, high ups and really low downs, globe trotting and sexy lead characters that make you fall in love with them. The sex is emotional and makes an alpha girl like me want to find a strong man and let him Dom her! I love your writing Lexi Blake and I truly hope you continue with this series for years to come, after all we've got to see the Taggart twins grow up and kick a little a**😘♥️😉

This was another phenomenal book by Lexi Blake. It drew me in from the beginning, and had me wondering how everything was going to play out. Never did I expect the ride Lexi took me on. Brody and Steph were perfect for each other. They were both strong and kick butt. I loved Steph's feistiness, but my heart broke as she battled demons from her past. We get to catch up with the Taggart McKay couples here, and it was so fun to see there interactions (and of course, always beyond entertaining and had me LOLing nonstop) There is one "puppy" I would love see find true love eventually, and I know if he gets a story it's going to be epic! For now, I will wait anxiously for the next book in this series! A fantastic must read!!!

I liked this book. It was a cute read with sexy sex scenes & a few funny parts thrown in! The characters were okay- I didn't like how Brody just walked away & was ready to give up & I didn't like how self punishing Steph was- I prefer a stronger heroine in romance books. I haven't read a lot of the books in this series, only 2 or 3, but for the most part, I understood what was going on & only got a bit confused here & there. For the most part, I really liked this book. I'm definitely going to have to go back & read some of the other books from the series!! *I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!*
  • Worthy of a Life Full of Love

A woman with a death wish due to survivor’s guilt and a man who can’t be another way for her to hurt herself. A doctor who uses her skills and training to help those in war torn cities and a body guard who vows to protect the innocent, unafraid to step in front of bullets for his job. Stephanie Gibson and Brody Carter may not see themselves as worthy of one another, but it’s clear that they need each other more than anyone else, and even though they parted ways after their one night together, their lives are destined to intersect again, not only because of what they created, but also because Brody promises to be worthy of everything that Stephanie brings to his life as long as she can stop punishing herself for actions that everyone has put behind them but her. Stephanie and Brody’s thoughts and actions are bound to frustrate readers because they seem to be the only ones who don’t seem to understand their worth. And while their behavior may cause readers to dislike them, in my opinion, Lexi Blake does a great job illustrating exactly why Stephanie and Brody feel the way they do and why their actions show two people lost in their own heads, unwilling to gain clarity because they don’t know how to see past what they’ve always thought about themselves and what they deserve. Don’t get me wrong, I wanted to shake both of them numerous times throughout the story, but they’re the only people who can change their perspectives and they have to realize what they’d be giving up if they continue down the path they’re going - one that leads them away from those who love them and need them. Stephanie and Brody make numerous mistakes throughout Love Another Day, some more costly than others, but all of their decisions illustrate just how self-destructive Stephanie is and just how skewed Brody’s sense of self worth has become. But with a new focus for both of them and an immense amount of support behind them, as long as they can weather the deadly situation they find themselves in, they’ll have time to work through their respective issues and find a way to make things right between them, offering them a second chance to be a part of something they both deserve. Love Another Day’s story line is extremely complex - not only does its setting occur in multiple countries but the number of characters involved in the main plot line forces readers to ascertain who can be trusted and who has ulterior motives when it comes to helping Stephanie stay alive. Despite the abundance of situations that simultaneously occur in the story, Stephanie and Brody’s tumultuous relationship and a resolution to the threat on her life remain central to everything that happens…all of the advice given to them…all of the steps taken to ensure Stephanie’s safety…all of the insight gained about why Stephanie’s the way she is…EVERYTHING that’s said and done work to move the story line forward and to gain a variety of perspectives on all that has happened and all that MUST happen so that Stephanie and Brody have a limitless amount of days to repair themselves and each other. 4.5 Poison Apples (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)

4 stars for - Love Another Day - the fourteenth book in the ever evolving Masters and Mercenaries series by Lexi Blake. This book can be read as a complete stand alone but the series on a whole is top notch and really should be read by all. Stephanie Gibson has spent years punishing herself for a mistake that happened when she was just a kid. She is now a talented doctor that goes to war torn countries donating her time/skills trying to help the less fortunate. No matter how many times she puts herself in danger or works to the point of exhaustion in will never be enough to make up for what she did. After the entire nightmare with Dr. McDonald finally came crashing down Stephanie wanted one night for herself with the man of her dreams before he disappeared forever. Brody Carter now works in the London office of McKay - Taggart, but he spent six months in Sierra Leone as a body guard for Dr. Gibson. Deciding he would never be good enough for a woman like Steph, he only spends one memorable night with her and leaves the country early the next morning. What Brody doesn't realize is that one night of passion created a bond between them that would never diminish. This story brought us "back to basics" with all the things that made me fall in love with the MM series to begin with - club scenes and non-stop action that had you on the edge of your seat. Then you add in the outstanding supporting characters that Ms. Blake writes and it is a series that I hope never ends.
