Description

Soft-spoken and shy Hannah Fisher is determined to make the man she’s loved her entire life finally see her as a woman. With the help of a makeover and the convenient forced proximity of a tour bus, she vows to win her best friend Deacon’s heart.

Former bad boy and current fiddle player Deacon Latrell has the world at his fingertips: a new gig with a famous band, plus his best friend on tour as his son’s nanny. Life couldn’t get much sweeter. Now if only he could stop imagining kissing the daylights out of his childhood BFF...

With one friend set on pushing the boundaries and the other afraid to rock the boat, one thing’s for certain—their story would make one heck of a country song.

I identified so much with this story as I, too, was bullied and made fun of in high school because of a profound hearing impairment. Never asked out by any guy from high school. I was a late bloomer and seldom dated. At age 40, I finally found Mr. Right. Loved the characters in this book and how they supported each other. I as charmed by the love and support Deacon and Hannah shared. I love a great HEA and I was not disappointed. Will definitely read more books by this author. I also liked the fact that there were no graphic sex scenes or dialogue; just a sweet, romantic story.

✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ FOUR-STAR ✩ REVIEW ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ > > Judging a Book by it's Cover < < Good looking 20s-something couple outdoors in a friendly intimate post. Cover radiates feel-good, small-town sweetness. Synopsis adds a little fun, spice, and sass. > > Looking Deeper < < POV ~> Third person ~ Friends-to-lovers trope. Hannah's been in love with Deacon for half her life. After time away in Paris, she returns with a plan to make her best friend see her as more than just the girl next door. Deacon comes from a rough upbringing, Hannah's life has been full of love. Despite a stutter and homemade ultra-conservative clothes, Hannah's optimism and positive nature is just the light Deacon needs in his life to grow and flourish into the young man he's meant to be. Their relationship was not without its faults, as many tend to be. Each made mistakes, Deke moreso. Each time, those mistakes ARE addressed and resolved in a mature and timely manner. Their chemistry was gradual. Sexual content is more "behind closed doors" than detailed. Secondary characters were supportive. If you are new to the series (Which I Was), you will be able to read this story without feeling left behind. Though there is some mention of other bandmates' history, this book can and does stand well on its own. The plot is endearing and dynamic. The story and style are well-written. There were a few hints of predictability, but nothing to detract from the overall experience. It's hard to believe that this is the first time I've picked up a book by Rachel Harris. I'm glad I did, this was a thoroughly enjoyable story. The conclusion is satisfying for the lead couple, providing them a solid HEA. . On tour with Blue!! This second book in the Blue series can definitely be read as a standalone. I became a Blue fan during Accidentally Married on Purpose and each book has increased my fan status a little more. Hannah was an awkward, bullied, 15 year old when she met Deacon, the bad-boy new kid who moved in across the street from her. These two found in each what they never got from anyone else, true friendship. Now ten years later, Hannah has gotten over her speech impediment and is ready to stop living on the sidelines of her own life. It only took a trip to Paris to realize that she wasn't living life as fully as she could. Deacon lives for his son and now that he has been temporarily signed to be the fiddle and keyboard player for Blue, he wants to secure a future for him and his son by making the gig permanent. Deacon has always been able to count on Hannah but when she returned home from Paris, there's something about their friendship that has changed. Are the feelings he's having worth having the only family he's truly ever had enough to risk having yet another person walk away? I loved Hannah and Deacon. They are supportive of each other but are also willing to call each other out when they do something stupid. So many of their issues could have been completely avoided if only they would communicate better but then there really wouldn't have been much of a story!! My only complaint is that I wished there was more of Hannah and Deacon together in this story. I can't wait to read the rest of the stories about this band!! *This is my voluntary review of an advanced reader copy*

The ultimate friends to lovers romance! Such a sweet story! Lots of angst, some sweet friendship and surprise chemistry between them makes for a fun story. A quick and easy read. There wasn't a lot to do with the actual band performing, etc. but it was a whirlwind of a book regardless! Reformed bad boy Deacon Latrell is living the good life! He's recently joined an up and coming country band as their fiddle player, he has an adorable son who is the light of his life, and his best friend is finally back in town and has agreed to go on tour with him to be the nanny for his son! Hannah Fisher has always been quiet and shy, but when she became best friends with Deke 10 years ago, he took her under his wing and brought her out of her shell. She has always been in love with him, but he only considered her his best bud. As a single dad, he has needed a lot of help and she's always been there for him ... until she finally needed a break to go do her own thing for a year. When she decided to come back and go on tour with him, she decided to embark on "Operation Find My Happy" .... either it will include the potential of more of a life with Deke, or she'll move forward and broaden her career like she always thought she would. Close quarters and sweet life moments together make Deacon start to look at her in another way. Will he be able to open his eyes and see what's right in front of him ... before it's too late?

LOVED it!! This is an absolutely fantastic friends to lovers story that had my emotions all over the place. Deacon Latrell and Hannah Fisher have been friends since childhood. Two misfits that worked perfectly together. Deacon had a tough family life and was considered a bad boy. Hannah had a loving family but was shy and held back because of a stutter. Now all grown up these two have remained close but not as close as Hannah would like them to be. Will Deacon ever see her as more than the shy girl next door?? Now he has the opportunity to go on tour and he wants Hannah to go along as a nanny for his son. Could this be Hannah's chance to show Deacon how good they can be together? A fantastic read that I highly recommend to everyone.

Hannah is known as shy and soft-spoken but underneath she has a strong core and is an extremely hard working. When she gets the chance to win her best friends heart, once and for all, she takes it…it comes in the position of nanny on a rock and roll tour bus. Deacon has been half in love with Hannah from day one but she is his best friend and he doesn’t want to mess up a good thing. But how is he going to resist her when she blows his mind with just her smile. This is a case of serious lack of communication, which makes for some excellent reading. Utterly sweet and endearing love story. He was her superhero, she saved his life and together they've always ever been best friends. Can you say SWOON with a capital S! Harris writes humanized, lovable characters that touch a place deep in your heart. I received this ARC copy of The Nanny Arrangement from Entangled Publishing, LLC. This is my honest and voluntary review.
