Description

A sexy brother's-best-friend stand alone romance by USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde...

I was just his best friend's little sister.

But he was always more than that to me.

After twelve years of pining over Patrick's easy smile, baby blues, and captivating charm, I decide to take matters into my own hands--and completely blow my chance.

Who knew a self-proclaimed manwhore would decide to be a gentleman the first time I'm naked in his bed? Definitely, not me. But when I land there again, neither of us has any intention of stopping.

There's only one problem: nobody can know. Especially not my three older brothers. If they found out, all hell would break loose.

So I'm willing to keep our secret...

Because I want him Wright here, right now.

4.5 stars for - The Wright Secret - by K.A. Linde. This is the fourth book about the affluent and enigmatic Wright siblings from Lubbock Texas. This is a complete stand-alone and while I highly recommend reading the other books about the Wright siblings in no way is it necessary to do so prior to reading this one. Linde works her magic with this story and delivers a heroine that commands respect in the boardroom as well as the bedroom all while never backing down. Morgan Wright is the new CEO of Wright Construction. At only twenty-seven being the head of a Fortune 500 company is unheard of, but she was born for this role and knows the company as well if not better than her big brother Jensen whom she is taking over for. With her all her major goals and aspirations finally being achieved with her career she can only hope her decade long infatuation with a certain guy will finally come to fruition. Patrick Young is absolutely clueless when it comes to his best friend Austin’s little sister. He has known the Wright family for years and always told himself that Morgan was off limits instead of giving into the temptation. A comment he would have normally laughed off causes him to see her in a whole new light. Patrick knows that they are two consenting adults, but with her being Austin’s little sister he doesn’t want to betray his friend. Too bad now that the seed has been planted he can’t stop thinking of Morgan in “that” way...

In The Wright Secret, we get a fun twist on the Wright Brothers we have read thus far; we get Morgan’s story! This book was long anticipated and Kyla has mixed in just the right of angst into this one that Patrick and Morgan’s story, will leave you on the edge of your seat. From cover to cover, this book is fun, witty, sexy and a little angsty all tossed together! It has been so much fun seeing Morgan in the background throughout the series so far, so getting to see the family business, her brothers and her relationships through her eyes was truly a magnificent journey. In the latest installment of the Wright series, we get Morgan Wright’s story. Fresh on the job as CEO of Wright Construction, her feelings for Patrick couldn’t be stronger. She has been in love with her brother’s best friend for years. Patrick on the other hand, has been oblivious to Morgan’s feelings. When her journey into her new career within the family company takes her down a path with Patrick she had always dreamed about, she must desperately attempt to find a work/life balance before she loses them both. As Morgan struggles to find her balance, and her future at Wright construction hanging over her head, you truly get to see how strong of a character she is. She is independent, loyal and such an inspiration to woman. We see a woman who is deeply in love with a man she has known over a decade, and when things start to develop between them all of her dreams start to come true. She just has to find a way to keep them a secret from her brothers. Their relationship is very passionate and the two are very connected in a way that makes you fall in love with their love story. We also have some adventures with the sub-characters that added a few twists to the story. The Wright’s Uncle is in town, and we see a new character thrown into the mix that is defiantly there to throw their lives into a tailspin. We get to also catch up with the brothers we love so much from the other books in the series. We see glimpses of Austin and Jensen which adds a bit of nostalgia to catch up with some of our past favorites. Overall this book was truly a 5-star read that didn’t dissatisfy and was very well unfolded throughout. *I received an ARC copy of this title at my request and am providing this voluntary review*

Oh my gosh. Best book!!!’ Morgan has been in love with her brother’s best friend forever. Patrick sees her as Austin’s little sister and his friend. Until the day his future brother in law makes a comment that puts how phenomenal Morgan is in perspective. Lots happens in this book. No spoilers from me. I’ll say a few things I loved... I loved it wasn’t a book if I want you, we can’t plot line. There is some of that one but not a ton so it worked beautifully. Sex scenes : hot Romance. Yessss Continuity, good Only noticed 1 word error. Struggle and antagonist position was believable. Great job . I love this author. And was eagerly looking forward to this book. It did not disappoint.
  • Morgan and Patrick for the Wright Win

First we met Jensen Wright, and I liked him. I liked the unexpected, forbidden romance he found. Then came Landon, whom I hadn't really cared much for when I met him in Jensen's book, but I found myself sort of falling for him. I most looked forward to Austin's story because he's so tragic and angsty, and if ever there were a guy who can't get out of his own way, it's Austin Wright. But what of the Wright sisters? Morgan has been handed the CEO-ship of Wright Construction, and she's been in love with Austin's BFF Patrick since forever. Will she find happiness with him, or will she have to go look elsewhere? I loved the little details K A Linde gives us about Morgan. She's petite and wears sky-high heels to make herself look taller. She can see a potential romance between two people she cares about, yet she is convinced she will die alone, the foster mother to a herd of cats. She's the most like her father (and Jensen) in temperament but looks just like her mother, with whom she yearns for a connection that, with her mother having died when Morgan was five, will never happen. In the first three books, Linde showed us that EVERYONE knows that Morgan loves Patrick. Everyone but Patrick, that is. Here, she lets him start to see Morgan as something other than Austin's little sister, and it is great fun to watch him do the proverbial double-take. I liked that the problems between the two of them didn't feel manipulated or far-fetched. I also liked how Patrick views their relationship. After spending so many years oblivious to Morgan's feelings, his framing of the two of them together is pretty awesome. The only thing I didn't like was the quick resolution to the corporate intrigue subplot. There were a couple of aspects to it that didn't quite ring true. This seems like a pretty minor quibble, though, because the purpose of this thread isn't to make you feel as if you're watching a Law & Order episode; it's to develop relationships between characters. As for hotness? Oh, there is HOTNESS. K A Linde includes some scorching hot sexy times that will leave you feeling a bit ... needy, if you know what I mean. Austin may be my favorite Wright brother, but Patrick is my favorite Hot Hero from this series. Now onto Sutton. When last we saw her, she had been hit by a tragic, heartbreaking loss. I need to know she's happy. Do you hear me, K A Linde? I NEED TO KNOW.

This series continues to make me swoon. The Wright family is such a close knit family is is completely supportive of one another. As Morgan takes over the family business, she also gets a shot with Patrick, her brother's best friend, that she have always loved from afar. This is their chance at romance. The author has done such a fantastic job of bringing us into the Wright's world. This book can be read as a standalone, but you will enjoy it so much more if you've read the other books. The story was good and Morgan and Patrick has me swooning as they became a couple. I've loved these two through the series and I was so excited to read their story. I'm really excited to see how the series plays out in the next book! May can't come soon enough!

Who doesn’t love secrets? Especially the hot, irresistible kind... I love falling for your brothers best friends books and this one did not disappoint. Morgan was such an amazing character, with the weight of a company on her shoulders she never cowered. She is the true definition of strong woman! Patrick is seriously so charming and irresistible. When the two get together, you’re like Ahhhhhhh! But she has 3 older brothers who might not understand. This was a great read with a lot of great chemistry!

This was a fantastic addition to the Wright Family series!!! Seeing Morgan in her zone was awesome. She’s bold, brilliant, and sexy to boot. Patrick is perfect for her. He doesn’t overstep, and even when he screws up majorly, he has her best interests in mind. I loved most of the supporting characters. Jensen. Omg, I have never wanted to freaking throat punch a previous hero as I wanted to him throughout this entire book!!! He somewhat redeemed himself at the end, but he’s still on my crap list lol. This book had the perfect amount of drama, and is definitely a must read!!!
