Description

“Morgan Rice's imagination is limitless. In another series that promises to be as entertaining as the previous ones, A THRONE OF SISTERS presents us with the tale of two sisters (Sophia and Kate), orphans, fighting to survive in a cruel and demanding world of an orphanage. An instant success. I can hardly wait to put my hands on the second and third books!”

From #1 Bestseller Morgan Rice comes an unforgettable new fantasy series.

In A THRONE FOR SISTERS (Book one), Sophia, 17, and her younger sister Kate, 15, are desperate to leave their horrific orphanage. Orphans, unwanted and unloved, they nonetheless dream of coming of age elsewhere, of finding a better life, even if that means living on the streets of the brutal city of Ashton.

Sophia and Kate, also best friends, have each other’s backs—and yet they want different things from life. Sophia, a romantic, more elegant, dreams of entering court and finding a noble to fall in love with. Kate, a fighter, dreams of mastering the sword, of battling dragons, and becoming a warrior. They are both united, though, by their secret, paranormal power to read other’s minds, their only saving grace in a world that seems bent to destroy them.

As they each embark on a quest and adventure their own ways, they struggle to survive. Faced with choices neither can imagine, their choices may propel them to the highest power—or plunge them to the lowest depths.

A THRONE FOR SISTERS is the first book in a dazzling new fantasy series rife with love, heartbreak, tragedy, action, magic, sorcery, fate and heart-pounding suspense. A page turner, it is filled with characters that will make you fall in love, and a world you will never forget.

Book #2—A COURT FOR THIEVES—is also now available!

“[A THRONE FOR SISTERS is a] powerful opener to a series [that] will produce a combination of feisty protagonists and challenging circumstances to thoroughly involve not just young adults, but adult fantasy fans who seek epic stories fueled by powerful friendships and adversaries.”

It was okay. I felt like nothing really happened and that the whole book was just a way to try to make you read the next one. There were a lot of scenes and even almost exact sentences that were repeated a lot. I would find myself wondering “didn’t we already go over this?” Almost certainly won’t be reading any more of the series.

(Spoiler alert) don’t continue reading this if you haven’t read the book. I knew from the start the sister who went to the ball to marry a prince to increase her status, the prince was going to feel betrayed.

I am completely captivated by the adventure Morgan Rice has crafted in A Throne for Sisters. He pulled me into the story with his incredible gift for painting a picture with his words. I joined Sophia and Kate on their adventures feeling as though I was right there with them in every experience. I have found my new favorite fantasy writer in Morgan Rice and I can’t wait to read more.
  • Great Idea, Not So Great Writing

I thought the plot line was very interesting and Sophia and Kate are good characters, but the writing of the story itself wasn’t as sophisticated as I would have liked. It seemed like a middle school student could have written it, but I was excited to see that there were moments where there was some deep and philosophical thinking; I would have liked to see those moments expanded upon!

I felt the book started on the slow side. It took me quite a few chapter to really get into it and get used to bouncing back and forth between Sophia and Kate. But the end... I literally couldn’t stop reading, every page made me more and more curious what was to come. And now.... I can’t wait to start the 2nd book.

Enjoyed the book. Was disappointed when it ended just at the peak. I would have liked to see some closure before advertising the next book in the series.

Read book 1, then the second, finally downloaded all 8 of them. Each book just draws you farther and farther into the series, couldn't wait till the next book. Ending was okay, but leaves itself open for continuation if desired. Loved all the characters, even the evil ones! LOL. Love Morgan Rice's writings.

I am not a fan of books that leave you hanging at the end - So you need to buy the next book and then the next etc... That being said the storylines of the Two Sisters was just starting to give you a glimpse into the dreams and power of the sisters and bang!! End of book,so if you like this type of ending read, I prefer storylines that can stand on their own and you have a choice of whether or not you wish to buy the next book in the series.

This is a book that should be read by all of Morgan Rice and fantasy readers. I could not read it fast enough, so let the house work go for a couple of days to enjoy it thoroughly. The next book, in this series, gives strong evidence of an A+ must read series.
