Excerpt:
"...throughout the course of my day I get to see the landscape unfold, sheer cliffs, spires, wildflowers strewn everywhere. I smell the pungent desert fragrances after the rain and hear the owls hoot in the saguaros. I watch the moon wax and wain over the weeks and listen to the wind tousle the mesquite trees. I see a bazillion stars and squint at our own as it sets the horizon ablaze just before dark. Frogs croaking, birds chirping, rivers rushing, and a million other sounds and smells wash over me. And I gulp and gasp and try to take it all in during this moment that is given me."
