I’m getting tired authors who revolve their tales around some piece of knowledge that some of the characters know, and then spend 90% of the book not telling that info to some other character who really needs it. Sure it brings drama and strife to the story, but most of it would be inconsequential if that hidden data was made available when it was first needed. Ok, so then there would be no reason to tell this particular story. And maybe that’s my point. It’s artificial collection of events and situations that probably should not have been written.
