Description

Wow this had me captivated! I could hardly put the book down … OMG that ending! … stunning ... I had to get my breath back at the end!' Bonnie's Book Talk, 5 stars

Rose Denton wakes up in her car. She has no memory of how she got there. But she knows something bad happened…

There’s blood on the windscreen and bonnet – but it’s not hers and there’s no sign of anything or anyone she might have hit. The last thing she remembers is being in a hotel on a business trip but now she’s miles away.

Back home and her daughter’s boyfriend is missing. The last thing he did was argue with Rose over money. He left no note, no text, no clue as to his whereabouts.

The police have questions – and so does Rose’s family. But those are little compared to the ones she has for herself.

What happened last night?  If Rose wants to know the truth, she might finally have to face the terrible secret from her past.

A totally addictive psychological thriller which will keep you turning the pages until the final dramatic twist.

Ended a little abruptly, but I enjoyed it overall.
  • Really BAD liberal undertones!

Enough already! Every other chapter is ANOTHER liberal undertone or phrase that I am sick of hearing! This WAS a good book until I got so sick of the political crap I wanted to just stop and review it and I usually wouldn’t do that! Tattoos are NOT cultural appropriation without any context or care, GET OVER IT. Is it impossible to write a book without this nonsense? How many are in here? It’s like a liberal call signal! It’s sad! You can’t seriously enjoy a book with all these little shout outs to the lunatic parade. I also bought a second novel without reading any first from this author and to be quite honest if it’s anything like this it’s not even worth opening the cover. If I wanted to read about what the latest offending tattoo was or I would be ON social media not trying to enjoy a novel! Most of us DO NOT CARE about this crap! Most of us think this is the total crazy end of the spectrum. We don’t care you are offended we don’t share your same whiny opinions and we don’t want to hear it. How can you live life offended 99% of the time even so much as to insert it into your writing? For the love of god get a grip on reality. You are even mildly insulting to some of your readers - I love SK but since he’s gone off the deep end insulting people in his last book I haven’t so much as picked one up to look at it. Just because people get a tattoo doesn’t mean they are awful people stealing someone else’s culture because it’s a tribal tattoo - and how do you know it’s without context or care? Making assumptions about a LOT of people! That is the issue with this, you think you know everything but you don’t, and people like you make the biggest hypocrites! Also you repeat the same words in different sentences over and over right next to each other and it sounds awful. After finishing the book you managed to make a good believable character by making her absolutely stupid to the core, and saying life is so easy when everything is an injustice pretty much sums up the left, so yeah, pretty believable dumb character and making her a liberal is almost funny if it wasn’t so true and sad - people are sick to death of this stuff. Otherwise good story.
