Description

Kaylee knows art, friendship, and love. And because she’s known love, she wants nothing to do with it ever again. She likes her life just the way it is. Her art and her Brushes with Lushes classes keep her sane and happy.
Landon spends his days with numbers and financial spreadsheets. At night, he just wants to relax, but the only way he can do that is with a woman. But these days, not just any woman will do.
Kaylee and Landon do an excellent job of dancing around each other, but no matter how much desire burns between them or their own personal hang-ups, they’ll need to make a choice: life as they know it, or a life that could be so much more.
Author Note: Ink by Numbers is a Montgomery Ink short story and a little different than what you’re used to from me. It’s shorter than my other novellas at only ~15,000 words. It has a complete HEA, and is perfect for a steamy evening, one-sitting read.

I love a book that I can read start to finish while I wait for my kids, but I’m picky about the quality & CAR always delivers. Fast and sweet story where we get some history and a hea for Landon and Kaylee. Great slow burn feel but just at the point of ignition. ❤️

Opposites attract in this quick, steamy romance by Carrie Ann Ryan. Landon and Kaylee had terrific chemistry. They is a great, quick read. You can’t go wrong with this author.

Super sweet story for Kaylee and Landon. Seems like I’ve been waiting forever for these characters to finally get together. This was a fast read for me but still completely satisfying. I would not recommend this as a stand-alone, you do need to read the other Colorado Springs Montgomery’s books to get to know these characters first. Loved this though and would still like to see more books take place with this branch of the Montgomery family.

Who doesn’t want to know what’s happening with Kaylee and Landon?!? Are they or aren’t they?! It’s been 4 books and we finally get the answers we’ve all been looking for. I felt this novella was entirely too short for this couple’s story. There were several topics touched upon (both parental units/families, Kaylee’s ex-husband) that were skimmed on, without terribly much explanation or depth to those relationships. There was some steam, but it was only at the end. This story felt rushed and ultimately, left more questions than explanations for this reader. 3.5/5

Ink by Numbers was a short novella that finally gave us Landon and Kaylee’s story. I loved getting to know their back story and that they got their HEA.

This is book 3.5 of the Colorado Springs Series. Kaylee is from a wealthy socialite family, she married her first husband to please her mother but quickly realized that nothing would please her mom and it was time to live her life for her own happiness. Now she runs her own art studio and has monthly Brushes with Lushes classes and is joined by all the Montgomery women and their friends. Landon is friends with the Montgomery's as well as with Kaylee. They have been circling each other for over a year. They weren't ready for a relationship then, and the whole group thinks that they are already a couple, but now they might not have a choice anymore as their chemistry is going to get the best of them. This was the best couple to cap the Colorado Springs series with. The book is more of a novella, but its smooth and sweet, with barely any drama. A slow burn right to home plate.

Landon and Kaylee are so good together, however they had already decided they weren’t right for each other. Both Kaylee and Landon realize that they were already together and it was working so they needed to open themselves to all the possibilities. I love that we learn so much more about these Montgomery friends as they settle into being a couple.

Kaylee and Landon finally got their story. It’s a fast and very short read. It’s written with humor and Carrie Ann Ryan’s signature style. It makes a great lunch time read!

This is a short story in the Montgomery world. This time it’s Kaylee & Landon’s turn. They’re best friends, who are kinda stuck between wanting more and just wanting to be friends. It takes a little bit, but they finally figure it out. Definitely grab this to find out what happens!
