From New York Times Bestselling author Corinne Michaels comes a new emotional and riveting standalone love story.

One night, eight years ago, she gave me peace.
No names.
No promises.
Just two broken people, desperate to quiet their pain and grief.

In the morning, she was gone and had taken my solace with her. I left for the military that day, vowing never to return to Pennsylvania.

When my father dies, I’m forced to go home to bury him. At least I'll finally be rid of his farm, which is grown over and tangled with memories I've fought to forget.

And that’s when I find her. She’s even more beautiful than I remember and has the most adorable kid I’ve ever seen.

Years have passed, but my feelings are the same, and this time I refuse to let her go. They say you can't bury the past, and they're right. Because when long-ago secrets are exposed, rocking us both to the core, I have no choice but to watch her walk away again. . .

  • Good read but flawed

I enjoyed this book. I’m a hopeless romantic and read it in a day and a half. I struggled with the timeline. It doesn’t add up. She says she’s been with her husband since she was 17. But later she says she introduced him to her parents at a bar. Ok, interesting. But then her parents tell her she’s lucky to have found a nice guy her freshmen year of college? But I thought she was 17 or 18. And why is she just introducing them a week before the wedding? So then she’s married, pregnant, in college, and being abused? Huh?

  • Quite the Cliché

I could only go like 2/3 the way through it before I had to stop reading. It’s extremely predictable and as someone who isn’t the biggest fan of Hallmark movies, this reminded me of a cookie cutter Hallmark movie. When reading I always look for good writing, good emotional pull to the reader, and a strong storyline that makes up the book. While this story does have some of this, it wasn’t enough to wow me.

I love the story and how it captures you right off at the beginning. It is well written can’t wait for the next book to come out to see what happens to the next brother and what he learns. I hope this all stays blended in as the story unfolds. Thank for great writing, Melissa
  • Review: The Arrowood Brothers 1: Come Back for Me

    By LisaHines711
Come Back for Me by Corinne Michaels is the first book in her brand new series, the Arrowood Brothers . Told in dual POV this book is a steady paced emotional journey between two people who never thought they’d meet again and the things that can happen when you trust in love. Connor Arrowood has to go back to a place he swore he never would. Home. Or the hell it became after his mother died when he was eight. He and his three brothers have to go to arrange their fathers funeral and to figure out what they will do with the family farm now that the man who has haunted them for years has passed away. What he doesn’t expect to find is the woman he spent one night with, eight years ago, before he left the farm in his taillights. His angel. The woman he kept in his thoughts all these years, that he kept in his heart during the worst times in his career as a SEAL. Ellie spent one night with a stranger the night before her wedding to a man she didn’t truly love. One night to show her the possibilities of love and kindness and respect only to be followed by years of abuse both mental and physical. If it wasn’t for her daughter she’d have left him years ago. When her new neighbor brings her daughter home she is shocked to her very core to realize that that man, THE man, is now living at the Arrowood farm. When these two reunite it is a long and difficult journey to get them from regret and pain through o beauty and love. With the help of a brave and quirky young Hadley they have no chance at resistance. Their live was meant to be. But what does this mean for the future of the farm? Well paced and highly emotional. Holding back nothing dealing with the abuse Ellie suffered, this book was everything I have come to expect from a Corinne Michaels story. Enjoy!

I was a little skeptical about this book at first, but it did not disappoint. I was hooked after about 30 pages. It’s a very smooth read that locks in on your heart. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves a good romance.
  • Author Michaels best work to date!

    By Lexilooloolex
Come Back For Me by Author Corinne Michaels is an absolutely beautiful love story! It is the kind of story that melts your heart and feeds your soul! The author crafted the perfect book boyfriend in Connor! He is everything a woman would want for herself or her daughter in a boyfriend or husband. His character made my heart beat harder and my soul soar. Now a sneak peek at the storyline of the first book in the all new Arrowood Brothers book series. This book is an incredible introduction to the Arrowood brothers and their stories. We are introduced to the series with Connor Arrowood, Navy seal(yes, he has connections to the characters in the Salvation Series, squee) living with haunting memories of his father and the one that got away. He has never forgotten the girl that was gone the next morning. Ellie, the nameless girl that got away. After one night with Connor eight years ago she hasn’t gone a day without thinking of him and wondering who he is and where he is. She wonders how different her and her daughter’s life might be if he was still in the picture. She lives a daily nightmare and wants and plans for better for her daughter and herself. The story takes twists and turns and I shed some happy and some sad tears. Mostly I rejoiced for Connor and Ellie. This is Author Michaels best work to date. She managed to outdo herself once more. I can’t wait for the rest of the books in the series!
  • An emotional beginning to another great series

What an absolutely beautiful story. While any book that touches on the topic of domestic abuse can be really tough this book is a must read. Connor Arrowood met the love of his life 8 years ago the night before he finally escaped his horrifying childhood. No names were exchanged but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t dream of her every day for those 8 years until he is forced to go back home, to a place he never wanted to see again. Yet when he gets there he finds the woman he has been dreaming about but Ellie is living through hell with her 7 year old daughter Hadley, who happens to have the same eyes as the gorgeous stranger she met 8 years before. This book is the start of what I think will be a great series about 4 brothers still being chased by demons and now forced to face them. I’m excited to see what happens next. Bring on Declan and Sydney.
