Description

‘SIMPLY BRILLIANT… I finished the book at 3:40 am and I was so happy that I lost my hours of sleep over this book. One of my great midnight reads.’ Book Reviews by Shalini, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

He was perfect. Denim-blue eyes, a dazzling smile. And he hadn’t sent me a picture of his junk. Which is about as rare, these days, as a Dodo.

When Sloane met Myles, everything fell into place. He loved a Martini almost as much as she did, shared her passion for four-cheese pizzas, and made her laugh harder than any episode of Friends. She’d found The One at last and she could finally delete Tinder, forgetting all those waste-of-space men she’d never have to date again.

But then she finds out that Myles has a secret. A very big one.

The fairytale is over. Her heart is blown to smithereens. Drowning her sorrows in Ben & Jerry’s can only get Sloane so far before she has to decide… Can she learn to love herself more than she loved the love of her life? And what if, after everything, she’s got Myles – and his secret – all wrong?

No, We Can’t Be Friends is a brilliantly relatable, hilarious and feel-good novel that every woman with a waste-of-space ex HAS to read! If you’re a fan of romantic comedies by Sophie Kinsella and Lindsey Kelk, and TV shows like Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Jane the Virgin, pick up this laugh-out-loud book – you won’t regret it.

The story was funny and interesting. So much was happening with the characters and the author makes it all work out. I felt like I was reading part of my own life story with a cheater and a liar. Glad everything worked well for everyone.

Really well written and I loved the story line. Would love a sequel to it but I know that sometimes the mystery of what happens next is the best part. I have withdrawals from finishing it.
  • Unorthodox but good

It was slow to get to the new romance but i think that is part of why I liked it so much. It was raw. It was real. Maybe a bit quick to end finally but there were so many moments that were storytelling gold that it wasn’t even really about the romance.
  • Lovely book! Nice to meet characters who have depth, flaws, and backbone.

I really love books with mature characters… ones who are flawed but persevere and just get on with life no matter how messy. The author does a great job of putting you in the protagonist’s shoes allowing you to feel all the hopelessness, as well as the hopefulness. Really a well turned out book. Enjoyed it immensely.

I love this author ! Every book I have read by her has been a five star read for me. This one was a more serious book, not a lot of humor, so if you are looking for laughs you won’t find it here. Just a very believable and well told story. So many wonderful characters in this book too with stories of their own. No overly descriptive sex or foul language either. Awesome read Ms. Ranald !

It wasn’t what I expected, but it was very good. A page out of real life’s moments. The characters were real, I found myself being in the story, relating to all of them, as the story unfolded. I highly recommend this book.

I love Sophie Ranald’s books. They involve the ups and downs for life and the vital support for and from other women that’s allows for women to grow into their best selfs. I love how the that is the primary focus and the main character falling in love is the last piece of the puzzle. I always finish her books proud of the main female character. All her books are worth reading and in order!!

It was just...bland. Not good or bad I guess. I know it’s very hard to write a book but it was boring and it held my interest for about 10 min. Also not funny at all. Okay if I’m honest, it was pretty bad and was sort of like read a crap magazine article that was super long. By the end I was just forcing myself through and in turn ended up hating it for wasting my time and money. Just, just read the sample.
