#1 New York Times Bestseller

From legendary storyteller Stephen King, whose “restless imagination is a power that cannot be contained” (The New York Times Book Review), comes a thrilling new novel about a good guy in a bad job.

Billy Summers is a man in a room with a gun. He’s a killer for hire and the best in the business. But he’ll do the job only if the target is a truly bad guy. And now Billy wants out. But first there is one last hit. Billy is among the best snipers in the world, a decorated Iraq war vet, a Houdini when it comes to vanishing after the job is done. So what could possibly go wrong?

How about everything.

This spectacular can’t-put-it-down novel is part war story, part love letter to small town America and the people who live there, and it features one of the most compelling and surprising duos in King fiction, who set out to avenge the crimes of an extraordinarily evil man. It’s about love, luck, fate, and a complex hero with one last shot at redemption.

You won’t put this story down, and you won’t forget Billy.

  • A waste of time

    By lkmibubnij
I haven’t read a Stephen King book in a long time, but a best selling author and all I thought I’d give it a try. What a bad call. This is a terrible book. Word pulp. The writing is just fine but the characters and the plot you could care less about. Then there are these weird flashbacks to Afghanistan to tie in the main character’s writing ambitions. And the implausible scenario that has a professional assassin depending on an iPhone app to sight in a rifle to be used to make a five hundred yard shot. Really? That is plain lazy writing. The best thing about the book is the reference to a book by Emile Zola. Save yourself some time and buy “Theresa Raquin” instead.

I always enjoy reading Stephen King’s novels. His writing is very easy to process and very expressive. This was a beautifully written story of love and trauma and growth that engages the reader quickly and easily.
  • Billy Summers ROCKS

    By Chriscrutcher
King at his very best. Plus, it’s a unparalleled advanced fiction writing tutorial.
  • One of his best!

I’ve read probably 90% of Stephen King’s books and love his work. I have to honestly say this is one of his best books he has ever written. I literally couldn’t put it down. Thank you Mr. King for the gift you have and your ability to share it with the world.
  • Wonderful story telling!

    By J.hogue
Stephen King at his best. A deviation from his traditional scary horror stories, with a faint hint of the past sprinkled in, Billy Summers is a true story of life and self discovery. This action packed story will keep you coming back for more!
  • Why Does Everything Have To Be So Political

    By Puppatweena
I am a huge King fan, so I find it so disappointing that he has to spew liberal nonsense into the story. Just write a great book like you used to without pushing your views on me. King is pushing away half of his fans by doing this.
  • Good not great

    By DJ Sne-K P
It’s a good book to read with some good action and great detail but it lacks in creativity. Follows what I think is the typical pattern for stories like this. I did enjoy it but it lacked a bit for me to be wowed. Not King’s best but not his worst either. Just good.
  • He does it again

By far, on of the best reads! King does it every time! Captivating me from the first chapter till the last…
  • Politics

    By My2Toys
It’s unfortunate that so many writers, musicians and actors feel the need to force their political opinions on the rest of us. I’ve noticed that it’s only the liberals that are so inclined. I personally believe celebrities should keep their political opinions private. I’ve quit reading books by these authors or watching these actors who can’t keep their politics out of their public creations. I now wait and read reviews before purchasing their products.
