In ALWAYS HER LOVE
“I'm pregnant. It’s yours. I’m having it, and unless you want it, I’m putting it up for adoption.”  Those were the words that changed Levi Steele’s life before he was even legally allowed to drink. There was never any question about whether he would keep his daughter, and eight years later, he doesn’t have a single regret. He owns a successful contracting company, he’s part of the Dark Knights motorcycle club, and Joey’s happiness is his top priority. None of that would be possible without the help of Joey’s beautiful and selfless aunt Tara, who’s going to be staying with them over spring break and who he’s been thinking about in ways he shouldn’t. But Tara’s older sister is Joey’s birth mother, and she’s the last woman the dirty-talking biker should want to get his hands on.

Tara Osten has been crushing on Levi for as long as she can remember. He’s a loving father, a loyal friend, someone with whom she can always be herself, and six-plus feet of deliciously hard, tattooed muscle. At twenty-four, she’s finally realized he will never see her as more than his baby mama’s younger sister. It’s time to let go of her lustful fantasies starring Levi Steele and move on with her life. Step one: Buy her own place and start dating. Step two: Survive spring break without falling harder for the one man she can never have.

I’m always excited to be back on Silver Island and for this book we get to travel to both Silver Island and Harborside and see a lot of our favorite characters especially those we haven’t seen from Harborside in a while. There’s always been underlying chemistry between Levi and Tara but who knew that when these two took a chance that it would be a three alarm fire and then some. I love that these two have such a great friendship to build a possible relationship on but there’s also Joey to consider and neither Levi nor Tara want to hurt her if something doesn’t work out. It was definitely hard hearing about how Tara was treated by not only Amelia (going forward as ‘she who will not be named’) but also her mother. I did appreciate the ladies cheering Tara on in her quest, if you will, to be with Levi and it’s always great when Joey gets the support, she more than deserves, from not only her family in Harborside but those on Silver Island as well. She is an amazing young lady. Wonderful story from beginning to end and I’m glad ‘she who will not be named’ got called out and put in her place and I especially liked the surprise that Levi put together with Charmaine for Tara, no one deserves that more than Tara. My favorite line from this story is - no matter how far apart we are, we’re always close at heart. Great story! I listened to this as an audiobook narrated by Aidan Snow and Ava Erickson. I like the duo narration and how they each did their specific chapter however I especially liked when Aidan did the male voices and thought he did a great job with Levi and Ava did the female voices.

This is a fabulous mix of subgenres. Single parent, long term secret crush, best friends big brother and a bit of a taboo. Tara is just a doll and deserves the world Levi is a typical clueless guy. Their journey to a HEA is a great one. The narrators are wonderful and make this story one very enjoyable to listen and enjoy!

Wow, a little unexpected, Levi Steele was not only a good father to Joey, he was a great boyfriend. Tara had been in love with Levi before she even knew what love really meant. He was five years older and the father to her sisters daughter. Her sister wanted nothing to do with her daughter, so Joey was raised be Levi only and TaraJoey’s favorite Aunt. They were really meant to be together, love was right in front of him the entire time, it just took him a while to see it.

Friends to Lovers - check Long Time Secret Love - check Older Sister's Baby Daddy - check Childhood Bullying - check I had a lot of feelings/emotions reading this story. I never had a sister and my mom never mentally bullied me, but I did go through bullying as a teenager. It is a hard thing to forget and get over. I still have issues from it nearly 40 years later. So I get Tara's hesitance to believe what Levi tells her about how beautiful and special and amazing she is. Her need to make sure Joey never feels the way she did as a child makes sense to me. I would feel the same way. Doing things, like gardening and cooking, that she never did with her mom is important for her to do with Joey. I love the relationship she has with Joey and how she never lets the little girl see her struggle. Tara makes choices she would want Joey to make in the same position. Levi, on the otherhand, had me wanting to slap him across the back of his head. It took him way too long to figure out he was in love with Tara. Then, when he figured it out, he played games trying to figure out if she felt the same way. I mean, really, just talk to her. My goodness, men are so dense sometimes. Although it wasn't the best way to reveal their relationship to their family, the way her mother reacted really made me mad. Instead of being happy, she couldn't get out of the house fast enough. Then she had no communication with her daughter for a week. That is not how a mother should treat any child, let alone her child. I was really glad to see that she took responsibility for her reaction and behavior and made a plan to get help and then she followed through. I felt it showed her willingness to grow. I loved the final reveal in the book. I thought it was such a perfect ending to the book. Here's hoping we see more of Levi, Tara and Joey, as well as all of the other Silver Island lovers.
  • steamy and sweet

I really liked the story overall. Levi and Tara’s story is sweet, as usual, and couched in the beauty of the whole Melissa Foster world. I adored Levi’s daughter, Joey, who was modeled to be strong, smart but still sweet, the likes of which we need more in this world. In general, I absolutely love the characters of Melissa Foster’s world because they have a sweetness to them that take me away from this more and more difficult world. My biggest issue with this book is the initial back and forth with Levi trying to figure out if they should rock the boat and try to be more than friends. It felt a bit extended, though in some ways understandable. The backstory is that Joey is Tara’s sister’s daughter, born from a one night stand, and the relationship between sisters is shaky. Regardless, a wonderful steamy and sweet escape from the real world! Can’t wait for the next one!

A*R*C for honest review with no compensation Received from Valentine PR Always Her Love is book 4 in the Steeles at Silver Island by Melissa Foster. This is Levi and Tara’s story. Levi at a young age became a single dad to his daughter, Joey after a one night stand. Since that time he has put love on the back burner, no time for relationships as raising his daughter is his top priority. Between Tara and his family’s support he has maintained a loving home for Joey. Tara, a professional photographer has crushed on Levi since high school but that’s as far as it goes. She has been more of a mother to Joey than her biological one who happens to be Tara’s sister. What happens when Levi realizes that the reason he feels comfortable with no relationships is because Tara has shown him what true love is all about. Will he opens his heart and get Tara to finally admit that he has “Always Been Her Love”? Read on to see where it all ends…
  • Another Incredible Melissa Foster

I absolutely loved Always Her Love by Melissa Foster; it is an incredible friends-to-lovers love story. It is the fourth book in her The Steeles at Silver Island series. Melissa Foster continues to prove that she is an amazing storyteller. I love that Melissa Foster continues to write the books that I love to read. I could not put Always Her Love down and I loved every moment on every page. Who does not love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families, and friends, who always support one another? I love how Melissa Foster somehow manages to find the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong woman on her own, to balance out her men. I really enjoy how the book is told from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. Always Her Love is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud. My favorite moments are the ones that pull at my heartstrings that cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. Always Her Love is filled with such moments, and with so much emotion. It is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a love story, Melissa Foster did not disappoint, especially with the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. My favorite part is how she incorporates the picture on the cover into the love story. Always Her Love is the story of Levi Steele, owner for a Husbands for Hire franchise in Harborside and single father to eight-year-old, Joey, and his daughter’s aunt, Tara Osten, a photographer on Silver Island. Levi and Tara have known each other since they were younger. Tara has been attracted to Levi and has had a crush on him since she was a child but has never acted on her attraction to him because her sister Amelia is Joey’s mother. She made a resolution to move on from her affection for Levi and her unrequited love. Every year Tara spends Joey’s two-week spring break with her in Harborside and has decided that this will be the last time that she does it. Archer suggested that Levi make a move on Tara since he observed that Tara always flirtatiously smiling at Levi. This messes with Levi’s mind and he does not know what to do. Tara is Joey’s aunt, and he does not want to ruin that relationship or his own friendship with Tara. As Tara and Levi spend time together over Joey’s spring break, things change between them, and they begin a romantic relationship. Love dirty talking Levi, it is my favorite part of the story. When spring break is over, they decide to try the long-distance relationship when Tara returns to Silver Island. I love the chemistry between Tara and Levi. I love that Tara shares secrets and insecurities with Levi about her mother, the difficulties of her childhood, and growing up with Amelia that she has not shared with anyone before. I loved that Always Her Love is a more than just a romance, there are dilemmas that both Tara and Levi are facing that need to be resolved. I love how the storylines get so beautifully resolved. I love the changes that both Levi and Tara make in their lives so that they can have a life with one another and the changes that Tara makes in her life and in her relationship with her mother. I love Levi’s proposal, and the significance of the location of the proposal and that Joey was included in the proposal. I love Levi and Tara’s love story and the ending of their perfect love story. One of my favorite parts is everything that Levi does to help make Tara’s dreams come true. I love all the little things that Levi does for Tara to prove his love. Melissa Foster truly delivered a book that was so worthy of Levi. Always Her Love is filled with poignant and bittersweet moments as well as plot twists. I love the characters and the family dynamic in Always Her Love the characters feel like family and friends. I love that it felt like a family reunion and loved catching up with the other Steele siblings. I enjoyed all the interactions between the Steele siblings and Levi’s interactions with his siblings, it feels like real family love and makes me laugh at their teasing and I love all their pranks. I loved all the characters in Always Her Love, and I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Who does not love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed Always Her Love. Highly recommend this incredible love story and am so looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

The latest swoon worthy romance by Melissa Foster gives us sweet and tender moments and hot and sexy nights for Levi and Tara. Every time they are together brings them closer and Levi couldn’t believe he hadn’t seen Tara as the love of his life until now. All it took was one slow dance and he knew that she needed to be in his life forever. His house was full of pictures from their many adventures, going all the way back to when his daughter Joey was a baby. Their bright smiling faces brighten up his lonely days when Tara was back home on Silver Island. Each time he says goodbye to her at the ferry, his heart aches and he longs for her return. Levi and Tara were always meant to be together. He had protected her even as a youngster, when she had a secret crush on him. Levi made her feel safe, especially when she felt sad and lonely, and she wouldn’t have survived her teenage years without his friendship. Tara thought it was too good to be true that Levi may have feelings for her because that would be a dream come true. When they are together, happiness surrounds them and life is good. Tara was afraid to believe that this could be her life, the three of them blissfully happy forever. Levi was determined to win Tara’s heart and nothing would stand in his way. Not her family, distance or being too busy to be together. Levi was addicted to Tara and she was his destiny, his soulmate and his reason for being.
