Mitch Rapp confronts a very different kind of killer in the explosive new thriller in Vince Flynn’s #1 New York Times bestselling series, written by Kyle Mills.

With President Anthony Cook convinced that Mitch Rapp poses a mortal threat to him, CIA Director Irene Kennedy is forced to construct a truce between the two men. The terms are simple: Rapp agrees to leave the country and stay in plain sight for as long as Cook controls the White House. In exchange, the administration agrees not to make any moves against him.

This fragile détente holds until Cook’s power-hungry security adviser convinces him that Rapp has no intention of honoring their agreement. In an effort to put him on the defensive, they leak the true identity of his partner, Claudia Gould. As Rapp races to neutralize the enemies organizing against her, he discovers that a new generation of assassins is on her trail. A killer known to intelligence agencies only as Legion.

The shadowy group has created a business model based on double-blind secrecy. Neither the killer nor the client knows the other’s identity. Because of this, Legion can’t be called off nor can they afford to fail. No matter how long it takes—weeks, months, years—they won’t stand down until their target is dead. Faced with the seemingly impossible task of finding and stopping Legion, Rapp and his people must close ranks against a world that has turned on them.

Have read every book in the series. Thankful for the thoughtfulness of the plot, but the book did not hold my attention like so many of the others.
  • Love it but disappointed at the same time!

I am enthralled with Vince Flynn/Kyle Mills, Mitch Rapp and Co. I’ve read every book in the series. In many ways this chapter was predictable; others not so much. I was captivated at times and at others, wondering if I was reading the same material as before or from others? Anyway, Rapp and Co. have earned and need more substance and respect. Again, absolutely love anything in this franchise (praying more films come because again…disappointed) but ultimately left wanting here. In retrospect, I anticipate this is a transitional novel likely setting up Irene for a Cabinet Role or even POTUS, at some point, with Rapp the ideal candidate to lead either the CIA or (more likely, as the CIA has been rendered obsolete here) Homeland/FBI as this novel made it clear the focus is shifting inward vs. external threats. Rapp’s focus is terrorism, and the field of war is now local. Who knows but cheers to more!

  • Terrible Read

Terrible read. Kyle Mills has managed to completely kill off Vince Flynn’s legacy with this unreadable drivel.

Wow another great book with Mitch Rapp and crew! A rollercoaster till the very end! My only complaint…it takes to long for the next book to be released.
  • Mitch Rapp faces a new kind of threat!

I had the privilege of once again being an Ambassador for this latest installment in the Mitch Rapp Series, and recently finished my advanced reading copy of Oath of Loyalty. This is a fantastic addition to the Mitch Rapp series and an edge-of-your-seat thriller! Mitch Rapp’s relationship with President Anthony Cook is at a crossroad as Cook feels that Rapp poses a mortal threat to him. Irene Kennedy helps broker a truce between the two men…Rapp agrees to leave the country and stay in plain sight as long as Cook is in the White House, and in return the administration won’t make any moves against him. The truce doesn’t last long as Cook’s security adviser convinces him that Rapp won’t hold up his end of the bargain and as a result the true identity of Rapp’s partner, Claudia Gould, is leaked out. As Rapp tries to stay ahead of her old enemies, a new threat emerges. A threat known only as Legion. Legion is a new breed of assassin as neither the killer nor the client know each other’s identity, making them impossible to trace. Rapp must race against time and odds he’s never faced before to find an assassin that won’t stand down until their target is dead, no matter how long it takes and what must be done. If you're a Vince Flynn/Mitch Rapp fan you will love this book, and if you’re not…what are you waiting for? Kyle Mills has done a fantastic job yet again and I highly recommend this book to anyone. #MitchRappIsBack
