Politics and riveting suspense collide in this white-knuckled thriller from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of American Assassin—soon to be a major motion picture.

In one bloody night, three of Washington’s most powerful politicians are executed with surgical precision. Their assassins then deliver a shocking ultimatum to the American government: set aside partisan politics and restore power to the people. No one, they warn, is out of their reach—not even the president. A joint FBI-CIA task force reveals the killers are elite military commandos, but no one knows exactly who they are or when they will strike next. Only Michael O’Rourke, a former US Marine and freshman congressman, holds a clue to the violence—a haunting incident in his own past with explosive implications for his country’s future.

I love most Flynn books but this one was terrible. Full of characters you despise. Not one character in this book to care about or root for. It's very difficult to enjoy a book where every single character in it is despicable. I put down this atrocity half way through. Please don't waste your money and time on this

  • An Outstanding (and Not Entirely Unbelievable) Story

In today's volatile and flammable political environment, it is not entirely inconceivable that a story like this could occur. Granted, this may swing way to the extreme, but that is why it's a story. I found this to be exciting, very well-written and full of little moments of surprise even though the author tends to give the reader a pretty good sense of who, what and why throughout. Highly recommend!
  • Love Vince Flynn books

I read this book for a second time and enjoyed every moment. It's frightening because I really think there are similar corrupt politicians in Washington. I wish there was a real Mitch Rapp to clean up the mess in Washington. We the people have let these dirty tricks politicians run our country into the ground for too long. Vote them all out, Term Limits, and lets start over.
