Nothing horribly wrong with it, but, to me, it reads as a few steps above fanfiction written by teenage women. The entire POV is not something I can sympathize with, making it hard to read. The author does have decent characterization for the main character, but is slow to build out the other characters by two thirds of the book.

Not too bad. Interesting enough plot but doesn't grab me enough. It definitely could have been better.

I read a lot of books and, for a free book, Thirst was a passable read. The story line is interesting and has a unique spin on presently popular genres. The plot however had a ton of unexplainable turns and unrealistic rationalizations. The author does not do a good job of keeping the characters consistent nor does her innuendo come off as she intends. Much of the characters decisions seem on whim, rushed and not well thought out. I spent half a day reading through this and was a little disappointed when the book didn't match it's cover. The protagonist is a weak minded, frail-ish, neurotic halfling with self esteem issues. This was a book not to be judged by its cover.

This was a good read. It left me with some questions, though. But these might be answered in later books. I am interested in reading the rest of this series.

I definitely had qualms about reading this book due to its length and hybrid main character, but I am definitely glad I took the chance. Thirst has a great plot and a main character who's likable and compelling.

Awesome! I am anxiously for #4 that is supposed to be out this year. I admit that my first stab a downloadable books was to look at the list of free stuff. I never knew that I would find so many great reads on the free list. The minute I finished this book, I checked to see if there were any more. The next 2 Ava Delaney were not free, but they definitely worth the purchase price.

When I saw that it was free I was like hmmm... Must be stupid. I downloaded it because i liked the cover... Lol. But it turned out to be addicting! If you have a lot of free time on your hands and like reading I recommend this book. - This book broke my scale! Lol, it deserves more than just 5 stars..
