Federal Rules of Civil Procedure 2012

The Federal Rules of Civil Procedure govern the procedure of all civil actions in the United States district courts.

This electronic copy of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure is current through the amendments effective December 1, 2011. Every effort has been made to ensure that it is accurate, but the publisher cannot assume liability for inadvertent error. The conventions for indicating emphasis by way of bold, small capitals, and italics follows wherever possible those in the official edition as published by the Judicial Conference of the United States.
