Description

In a world so dark and seductive, expect nothing less than a triple-cross in this explosive Ghostwalker novel by #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan…

In an underground club, a high-ranking public official spends his secret nights indulging in fantasies as exciting as they are depraved. For a seductive employee of the Dungeon, it’s her job to fulfill them. But she’s playing a far more dangerous game—one of blackmail, politics, and murder that reaches into the shadow world of the Ghostwalkers, and the creation of a spectacular, one-of-a-kind new weapon of defense.

But when a dictator makes his own catastrophic moves, the Ghostwalkers have no choice but to bring in two major players—a man and woman both driven by passion and revenge. Both expendable. Both with nothing left to lose.

As always they keep you in til the end. I would have liked more in the jungle and less in the bedroom. The action of the missions is why I keep reading. I will continue to read until the end because they are just fantastic.

This book didn't seem to be written with the usual thought and complexity that was prevalent in the previous Ghost Walker books. Disappointing.

In this book readers are introduced to Azami Yoshiie, a successful CEO of a family run satalite technology company based in Japan. After Lily Whitney approaches her to buy one of the satilites to further their search for the elusive Dr. Whitney, agreeing to her terms of visiting their secure home base in mountains. Little do they know that Azami is one of the several long missing experiments, Thorn, thrown away by a displeased Dr. Whitney at an early age and left for dead. In the life she was taught by her adopted samurai father she has managed to establish important contacts that throughout the book brings to light the betrayal of trusted friends, deadly missions, and a new game plan created by Dr. Whitney. +Progress is made throughout the book that finally answers some of the questions we've all had +The female protagonist is well developed if however not focused on +Feehan manages to keep the companies comraderie well maintained and lets us see for the first time how their home base is set up. +Very engaging characters and theme like all of her books, however this book seems to focus more on the unwinding of the mysteries that surrounds Dr. Whitney but also introduces new problems. -A bit repetitive, but not to the point that it makes you want to hurl the book (or kindle) away. -Makes you really glad that Feehan is an author who writes about the brutal scenarios in her books and does not have any real inclination of becoming a Doctor of any sort....or a sociopath.
  • Disappointing Effort

Freehan seemed to make the least amount of effort to put forth a good story. After reading all of her other books, this one falls short and flat. The leading lady is never given depth or ever accomplishes anything but getting laid. Her main man, more worried about looking like an ox and fantasizing about his ladies oral skills. Perhaps Feehan should be reminded that a lack of good writing shows a complacency that will drive away fans.
