Description

**The first book from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Untamed**

The inspiring and hilarious instant New York Times bestseller from the beloved writer, speaker, activist, and founder of Momastery, whose memoir Love Warrior was an Oprah’s Book Club selection.

Glennon Doyle’s hilarious and poignant reflections on our universal (yet often secret) experiences have inspired a social movement by reminding women that they’re not alone. In Carry On, Warrior, she shares her personal story in moving, refreshing, and laugh-out-loud new essays and some of the best-loved material from Momastery. Her writing invites us to believe in ourselves, to be brave and kind, to let go of the idea of perfection, and to stop making motherhood, marriage, and friendship harder by pretending they’re not hard. In this one woman’s attempt to love herself and others, readers will find a wise and witty friend who shows that we can build better lives in our hearts, homes, and communities.

Will always appreciate my friend that recommended this book to me. I will follow Glennon's blog and also go back to my highlighted passages of the book to keep important parts fresh in my mind. Easy read and fun. Lots of stuff about raising kids and even though I'm not a mom, I could envision and share in my friends and families lives around me plus my own growing up years. Some of it's just basic human stuff! Read and share this one!

Glennon Melton takes her amazing style and creates a book that has me weeping cover to cover. It feels like this woman can see into my soul, and feel what I'm feeling, and think what I am thinking. I recommended this book to 3 people before I had even finished it. I want to order 100 copies and give them to everyone I love, admire, care about, come in contact with.....it's stellar.

I thought this book was about war...little did I know it wasn't but instead Love. What a surprise and so glad that I didn't judge this book by the title. Glennon is an amazing writer and in parts I thought she was writing about me.

I have never been so inspired by a book before. Glennon renewed my faith, healed my heart and taught me patience and compassion in the 3 days it took me to read this book. I couldn't put it down. Carry On, Warrior!
  • Heavy spiritual/religious content

Great start to the book--quickly grew to like the main character. But Glennon finds comfort in relating to Jesus, which is a different stance than my beliefs. I kept with the book because I am interested to learn of others' spiritual paths, but found this book difficult to connect with because it was quite heavy with references to Jesus.

This is such an awesome book. I have read and retread several times. I think Glennon is so awesome to have told her story to help so many people. I don't have any addictions but in many ways I could relate to some of the things that she's been through. She has an awesome husband and parents that have stood by her. I hope one day to be able to meet this beautiful woman. The beauty is through and through and real. Thanks again for writing this book. Pam Watkins Rome Ga

Rarely have I read a book that made me laugh, cry, and think deeply all in the same sentence. This book did that many times over. Glendon has a God-given gift and it shines in this book! I highly recommend it!

Glennon is a truth teller. She speaks her heart. But her heart sounds so much like the hearts of so many moms. She says the things that we think to ourselves. Her writing is extraordinary. Engaging. Like she is sitting next to you, telling you her thoughts. I love it.

Amazing ability to acknowledge that life is hard but how to cope by entrusting our family with God. Love her wit and humor - awesome read!

I was a little skeptical at first, I have to be honest. I am not religious and while I grew up in a Catholic faith family I find conversations about God to be exhausting, fake and for the sole purpose to prove one opinion is better than another (this is just my opinion!). When Glennon began mentioning God in her memoir I almost put it down. I am so happy I didn't. Her universal definition of God as Love sincerely touched me and gave me answers to a question I've been struggling with my entire life. The memoir is honest, funny, and you feel the love jumping off each and every page. It's a reminder of what's important (family, happiness, giving) and what's not (money, greed, perfectionism). I recommend it to everyone in all walks of life-- we can all learn a thing or two from Glennon.
