Why did I marry a metal head? Easy – I didn’t know he was one. Slick didn’t reveal the truth until the engagement ring was on my finger. By then I’d told all my friends I was getting hitched so I couldn’t dump him and hightail it in the opposite direction at warp speed times two. Fast forward several years and I heard some know-it-all claim that it was good to step outside your comfort zone every now and again. Others try a new restaurant. Me, I "went metal" and tried to act like I belonged there. Funny thing was, by the end of the night, even I forgot that I didn’t.
