The Marriage Auction: Season One, Volume Two

I am totally invested in these characters and I can’t stop turning the pages! So much heart beats from every chapter and I keep changing my mind about which sexy, protective guy is my favorite!!!! I’m obsessed!!! Tracey, Life Reads With Friends Book Blog

This series has me so hooked. I am a fast reader by nature but I’m absolutely devouring this story. The episodic nature makes it so that every chapter ends in a mini cliffhanger. The result is that I can’t put the book down because I must know what happens next! In Volume 2, we go from about 3 days after the auction through the first week or so. The story starts to branch out a little bit more for each couple. We have our friends-to-lovers with Dakota and Sutton, headed back to their farm in Montana. Watching how strong she is and yet still leaning on her new husband has me all up in my feels. Knowing she thinks he is the enemy but that he has really loved her since they were kids has me all swoony. And how he knows just what she needs, whether it be space or a soft landing pad, is just *chef’s kiss*. Then, we have Ruby and her twins. I was personally rooting for the other at first but as I got more of the story, I have to say I would have chosen as Ruby did. When the other comes to her rescue I knew that is who she would choose. What I loved most about this storyline was actually the glimpse we got to see of Madam Alana’s story and how it relates to Ruby’s. I’m very excited for her novella, coming in April! I’m also curious how Ruby’s sister Opal will fit into all of this. And I dare say Twin 2 won’t go quietly into the night. Next, is Faith and Joel, another favorite couple. Again, we have a strong woman (not that any of them aren’t) up against the world, mostly her psychopathic ex. It is heartbreaking to watch her realize that Joel isn’t out to get her, isn’t going to screw her over, and in fact, can be trusted. I have some suspicions about what secrets are still hiding in this storyline and I can’t wait to see if it all pans out. Plus, who wouldn’t love a little girl that immediately claims herself as big sister! Finally, Savannah and Erik. Ugh, survivors guilt. It’s such a real thing and my heart was torn as Erik’s backstory is revealed. I absolutely love him for Savannah. The glimpses we got of her and Jarod’s past were touching but I’m Team Erik all the way on this one. I loved the shopping trip with Savannah and his mom and watching Savannah get that little bit of maternal care she’s been missing her whole life. Please don’t make me pick a favorite because I can’t do it. I can pick a favorite trope of the couples but beyond that, these 4 couples are so well matched. I can’t wait to find out what happens next!!! Keep it coming!

This is the continuation of volume 1 and these books are best read in order. Now that the 4 couples have been chosen, they are off to their future husband’s homes and lives. It is also time for the girls and soon to be husbands to start learning more about each other and how they came to participate in the Marriage Auction. I love how Sutton is fiercely protective of Dakota even though she can hold her own. I also love how protective and caring Joel is to Faith. All of the couples continue to pull you in and make you want to read more. Looking forward to more of their journey.

I have never been more pulled into character the way that I have in this series. Every page was a turner, and you just keep wanting more and more. Audrey is one gifted writer, and I am so blessed to have found her. The way she can have a muse set her on fire is out of this world. Each character will have you on your toes, you will laugh and cry reading this series all in the best way possible. You will truly have all the feels and I do mean you will go on a rollercoaster of emotions with this series, but you will not be able to out these books down trust me. The only down fall to this series is that it had come to an end in which case I understand but I am a greedy reader and I wanted it to never end. Come alone for this wonderful ride with me. There is so much spice, love, danger, and excitement.
