Archbishop Romero - A Modern Thomas Becket

Oscar Romero of El Salvador was a quiet unassuming  priest and people at first didn't know at times he was there.
But, when Romero saw over time how the poor were being treated by the wealthy class of El Salvador - he slowly started to change into almost a formidable tiger. - with soft teeth!
When his Jesuit friend Fr. Rutilio Gande was brutally assassinated he decided that someone needed to "blow a whistle" or shout out loud - "enough is enough".  He kept shouting and shouting until, like his friend Rutilio, he too was also brutally assassinated.
