Description

Sasha and Connelly are back in IMPROPER INFLUENCE.

Even Sasha's most daunting cases to date haven't prepared her for her current challenge: finding a wedding reception venue that her mother and Connelly can agree on.

Wedding planning woes become the least of her worries, though, when Bodhi King, a forensic pathologist for the CIty of Pittsburgh, comes to her for help. Young women across the city are dying, and he suspects their deaths are connected.  After he voices his suspicions, he becomes a target.  Bodhi needs Sasha and Connelly's assistance to unearth the truth before it's buried along with more victims--and him, if whoever's trying to silence him succeeds.

The trail is long and dirty, leading to political influence peddlers, back room deals, and the biggest law firm in town.  But Sasha and Bodhi won't stop until they free the city from the grip of corruption--whatever the cost.

A well written great read. Just wish Sasha would have pressed charges for the assault at the Press Conferance

The book was good, but the editing was appalling! So many mistakes throughout the book with words missing and spelling mistakes. The worst mistakes were occasionally exchanging names of two of the men characters. I had to read the passages several times to figure out what was happening as the characters were reversed. This is my second Miller book, and even though I enjoyed them, I will wait awhile before reading another since the editing was so bad.

This and all the Sasha books are not to be missed. Love the characters and the plots. Hope she writes more in this series.

The fifth book in the Sasha McCandless series, by Melissa Furrer Miller, starts by introducing a new character. Bodhi, a Buddhist forensic pathologist, is a heart warming edition to the series. As is the case with the other books, I was completely engrossed by the story and enthralled with the characters. I could feel my heart racing with the turning of each page and couldn't turn the pages fast enough! Melissa continues the pattern where her characters are so believable and her story telling so fascinating that you feel you are walking (or running, as the case may be) the streets of Pittsburgh with Sasha and Leo. You find yourself cheering for Naya and wishing happiness and peace for Bodhi. I even found myself cheering for one of the Prescott and Talbott attorneys. The twists and turns in the story, along with the peeks into the lives of her characters, had me focused on nothing more than seeing them through the web of mystery surrounding the deaths of healthy young women. In the end of this fifth book, Improper Influence, I was left with only one feeling....a sense of tremendous anticipation for book number 6. Once again, Melissa has outdone the standard she has set and I am grateful I stumbled on book number one not so long ago. Five very bright shining stars!
