Slooooooow. It was torture to finish the book. I was very disappointed.

I forced myself to finish this drawn out story that lost its momentum before halfway through because I did like the characters. But the ending seriously happened in a page. Definitely not robust enough to make you happy you finished it. Very disappointed.

Well developed characters and a nice stewiest in the plot. I will recommend this book to my friends. Plus read it again for the pleasure.
  • Not as good as her other work.

This book was pretty boring and dragged on throughout. Everything was repeated and rehashed over and over again. By the time the main "mystery" or "climax" came about, I just didn't care. Worth was an ok protagonist but I didn't care for Jacaranda much. I think I may have if the writing was more crisp and concise. The side plots could have been good but again the constant repetition made those boring as well. I would not recommend this book, especially since Burrowes's other work is so much better.

First, I must say, Jacaranda is a very odd name but outside of that, this book was fantastic. Worth and Jacaranda's attachment happens extremely quickly but one immediately falls in love with their rapport and the flow of the book. I inhaled this book as I did with the last in this series. I truly enjoyed how Grace made slow their ultimate coupling and enjoyed the secondary characters. It'd be interesting to see if Lannie were to get a spinoff from this book. Never a dull moment. Wonderfully written. Arguably, I’d have to say that Worth is the Lord of Patience. Definite 5-stars.
