Description

Susan Mallery, the New York Times bestselling author of Three Sisters, is world renowned for her "insightful, funny, and poignant" stories (Booklist). With her brand-new Mischief Bay series, she brings vivid color to the story of three friends on the brink of a new life.

Nicole Lord wants to be a good wife, but there's a difference between being supportive and supporting her husband, who quit his job to write a screenplay she's never seen. He won't even help take care of their son, leaving Nicole to run the house and work full-time.

Sacrificing a personal life for her career is how Shannon Rigg became VP at her firm, but she wonders now whether she made the right choice. An exciting new relationship with a great guy convinces her that it might not be too late—until he drops a bombshell that has her questioning whether she really can have it all.

Although Pam Eiland adores her husband, she feels restless now that the kids are grown. Finding sexy new ways to surprise him brings the heat and humor back to their marriage, but when unexpected change turns her life upside down, she'll have to redefine herself. Again.

Through romance and heartbreak, laughter and tears, the girls of Mischief Bay will discover that life is richer with friends at your side.

Don't miss Susan Mallery's latest book, The Stepsisters! A heartfelt tale of friendship between two women who used to be sisters.

It was a good read, but lost interest in the middle. I stopped reading and then 4 months passed and I completed the book. I definitely want to read it again, no pause and to sink in the whole story and there will most likely be a better review.

I loved the maiden voyage of Susan Mallery's new series. The three, unlikely, friends were ther for each other through tragedy, sickness and lost love. I especially liked the way she showed that life goes on after the unexpected death of a beloved spouse.

Susan Mallery brings you right to Mischief Bay as she does Fool's Gold. She makes you feel as you are right there with the characters. A must read for your summer!

I looked forward to getting this book and picked it up on release day for Target. It did not disappoint! Fans of the Blackberry Island series will especially enjoy this book, as it is more similar to that series than the Fool's Gold series. Each character is well written and faces struggles that one level or another you can relate to. Looking forward to the next book. ***I was given this book for a true and honest review*** What can I say about this book except WOW!!! I loved it from beginning to end although my pretty new book has several pages with water marks on them. The book is a powerful testament to the strength and resilience women have within themselves. When you sit down to read this book make sure you have plenty to drink, snacks, and a big box of tissues close at hand. It's a slightly longer book at about 400 pages and your going to find yourself wanting desperately to read it all in one sitting but I had to cave in to sleep and spread my reading out. With some serious dedication you could easily read it in a weekend. I have always sworn my to the Fool's Gold series of books I've loved every single one of them but this book is equal to or perhaps even greater than them. I want to recommend this book to anyone as the book has no real language issues, violence, or steamy sex scenes in it because it simply doesn't need them. I urge anyone looking for an awesome read to pick up this book up and read it as you won't be disappointed. In Mischief Bay there can be found three very different women. Each is in a different stage in their lives but they still have created a strong bond with one another. They love and support each other completely as they each face very difficult and trying times in their lives. They will take you through the spectrum of emotions as they laugh, love, worry, cry, and as they each face a type of devastating loss. Through it all they are there for each other with a shoulder to cry on or to lean on, ice cream and pizza, hugs, and advice along with a never ending supply of understanding and unquestionable friendship. The women find a strength within themselves they didn't realize they had that helps them to weather the storms ahead of them. They come out at the end battle scarred and weary but confident in each other and the choices they have had to make for their lives. By the end of the book each women has faced so much and you'll find yourself experiencing a small part of what each woman is going through. I would greatly love to revisit this small town and read the many stories that are still waiting to be told. My thanks to Ms. Susan Mallery for another great and fascinating book. Enjoy it as much as I did!

I'm one of Susan Mallery's biggest fan. But I'm also honest. All women should enjoy this book, all ages and all stages of life. If you haven't personally gone through one of these life experiences, we all know someone who has. This book also shows us how to be there for one another, no matter what circumstances we are dealing with. It was well written, funny, sad and encouraging. I cried with Pam and Haley, laughed and cried with Shannon and Nicole, and understood the Widows Club! Very strong adventurous women, but also vulnerable and frightened. Cannot wait for more from Mischief Bay soon
