Description

A headstrong girl trapped by a sinister man. Her only way out? To obey...

With her life stolen from her, Victoria is left with no choice. She must drop everything and dedicate herself to helping the infuriating and irresistible Malcolm Cage. But the task is a dangerous hunt for information that she promised herself she would avoid at all costs. It doesn't help that Malcolm is utterly distracting with a voice as smooth as silk and eyes that make her body tremble.

Malcolm used to think that Victoria was just another slimy reporter, but she is quickly invading his heart with her stubbornness and bravery. He was once willing to do anything it took to protect his family, not caring who got hurt in the process--but he finds himself feeling guilty for manipulating Victoria. Even though he was the one who put her life at risk, he is now the only one who can save her...

This is book two of a thrilling new contemporary erotic romance series.

This series went from red hot read in the first book to glorifying abusive relationships in the second. I was so disappointed when Victoria fell right back under Malcolm's "spell" after all the nonsense he put her through; including but not limited to ruining her credit and good name, treating her like an object he owned, and just about raping her (no should mean no even in a fictional book). I was expecting a kickass woman to take care of business, get her life back, and find someone better without falling to her knees for a spoiled billionaire baby. Instead I got another withering delicate "heroine" pulled straight from Twilight or Fifty Shades. I don't know if I'll be able to finish this series.
