Description

A action series set in the civil war times that is the second installment from the author. The storylines cross romance and the violence and crippling effect the war had on people. It is a fictional piece but the author does a great job of blending that with true historical fact. The books are a serious and deep look into trials and tribulations of a war that pitted brother against brother and tore a country apart. The storylines is very creative and does a great job using true history as a backdrop for fictional writing.
The book has historical value and it views both sides of the war in equal light. It also does well to portray the compassion of many soldiers despite the seriousness of the lines drawn. It is a great adventure to keep you on the edge of your seat, and if you are not familiar with the history of the civil war you can expect to come away with a newfound knowledge. This is a book for mature readers as the violence associated with conflict is detailed and also the relationships are mature. The writer is fluid and easy to follow and does not inundate the reader with intense technical jargon.
