Description

America, not to mention many other countries, are not as welcoming to churches as in the past. Other countries are absolutely hostile to churches. House churches or as I prefer to call them, house get-together's of Christians meeting with Jesus, are the prototype New Testament model of the church. In fact, the word "church" is a bad translation of the original Greek word found in Scripture. It should be translated "fellowship" or "assembly" or "get-together."

In California where I reside, the cities, counties, and state want the taxes that churches are currently exempt from paying. The day will come when churches will have to pay taxes. Churches might already be finding it difficult to pass muster to buy property to build because of this issue. The solution will be a church in a house, in a rented hall, outside under a tree, or down by the riverside.

This book briefly highlights the considerations a church starter would need to take into consider when starting a church in a house. It discusses the stress it brings on the hosts of the church in a house as well as the issue it may generate with the neighbors. It discusses the issue of giving legal tax deductions to those who make charitable contributions to a house church. It also suggests some fundamental doctrines and practices of any fellowship of believers.

I hope you enjoy reading this short and hopefully helpful book about how to start a church in a house.
