In fact, the word "church" is a bad translation of the original Greek word found in Scripture. It should be translated "fellowship" or "assembly" or "get-together."

In California where I reside, the cities, counties, and state want the taxes that churches are currently exempt from paying. The day will come when churches will have to pay taxes. Churches might already be finding it difficult to pass muster to buy property to build because of this issue. The solution will be a church in a house, in a rented hall, outside under a tree, or down by the riverside.
