Description

I am a writer who also uses AI software to generate images. An AI-generated image captured my attention.

On a whim, I had asked for an image of a river running through a prairie.

The result triggered a creative thought inside me related to the likelihood of a deep hole somewhere in that river. I made more images.

The gist of the story flowed into my head. It is a short story, fast flowing (mostly). The AI-generated images interspersed within the story have all been resized and many have had tweaks for sharpness and lightness.

The story is about a greenhorn who takes a solo vacation to a river running through a prairie.

Within an hour of arriving, he almost drowns, having ventured into the river in a shallow area, or so he thought, still wearing his backpack.

The incident instilled respect for the river into the essence of the person he was.

It took him until the next day to dry his clothes. He caught his first fish in his sock feet. With the fish grilling on his campfire and smelling better than best food he has ever experienced, he concludes that, yes, this will be the best vacation he has ever had.

It is a straight-forward story, filled with AI images.

Rather than the images supporting the story, the story is inspirect by the images.
