Description

In 1974, at the end of a period when the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Crosby Stills Nash and Young among many had a fascination with Morocco, I too wanted to find out what it was all about. I was still a teenager when I set forth on the first overseas journey that I had made on my own. This was no big deal. It's what we did then but there was a lot to learn along the way. To say I was wet behind the ears would be an understatement. But not naive. I knew full well what I was stepping into, if at times I was taken completely unaware such as the time I was ripped off by a Canadian fellow traveller.
Morocco of course was as fascinating as I imagined it to be, and all of it was captured in a diary I kept and the photographs I took. And to think this is now almost fifty years ago.
If this was your era, then you might like to relive some of your youth. If you intend to visit Morocco now, why not take this book with you and see what has changed - or not.
You could even follow my journey.
