It looks at the advertising business in the late 1970s and the smaller, regional, and second string agencies that were not at the glamorous end of the business. In other words a complete contrast to Volume Two, and yet an important part of the industry. Much of the narrative reprints a diary written by a graduate trainee that offers a rare, contemporary, first hand account of working in the business. One that is not the usual rose-tinted glasses approach.
