Zechariah first sees the Angel of the Lord on a horse among some myrtle trees, who expresses concern for the children of Israel, who lived in exile for seventy years.
In other visions, Zechariah sees four powerful horns and their impending doom. He sees Joshua, the High Priest, purified and given clothes suitable to his office. He sees a set of lampstands supplied with oil without the help of human hands. He sees a flying scroll with curses written on both its sides. He sees an ephah that serves as a prison for Wickedness.
