Description

Susan Mallery, #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Fool’s Gold romances, proves there’s nowhere better than Happily Inc to rekindle first love.

Silver Tesdal has a head for business and a mouth made for kissing, and banker Drew Lovato has his eye on both. But ever since he was dumb enough to let her go, she’s kept him at a distance. When the bank turns her down for a loan, Drew sees a double opportunity—he can finance her brilliant, unique idea to rock Happily Inc’s wedding industry and win back her trust.

Despite her reputation, Silver’s not as tough as she seems. Losing Drew nearly destroyed her. Still, his kisses are as tempting as his offer to invest in her business. If she can’t quite get over him, maybe she should get under him and knock him out of her system once and for all.

But her best laid plans begin to unravel as Silver finds herself falling even harder than when they were high school sweethearts. Which means that she’ll have to come clean about the secret she’s been hiding from him for years—and risk losing him forever.

So, I was correct that what this series needed was concentration on one main couple per book. Finally the characters are fully fleshed out. Terrific job, Ms. Mallery. Now, onto Renée and Jasper’s story! I can’t wait!

4.5 Stars Silver has a good business plan to expand her business, but no one wants to give her the loan she needs to succeed. Drew was her boyfriend for the summer between high school and college, and he’s back in town and wants to find a way to help her. He finally does find a way, and Silver balks at the way he chooses. Eventually, she relents, and they begin to get to know each other again. This is a heartfelt story of letting go and of being afraid to go for what you really want. Silver and Drew both have to find the courage to give it everything, so they can get what they really want. The pacing is perfect, and the characters are delightful in many ways. Of course, there are a few negative characters that add additional tension, but you have to expect that in a Susan Mallery novel. Well done!

This book has much to do with your first love and do we really ever get over them. This book deals with first love, romance, friendship, trust and secrets. Moving forward without looking back is harder said than done. Susan Mallery does it again with the 4th book in the Happily inc. series. Well done!

I loved the story between Silver and Drew. They made a mistake as high school sweethearts but both knew they needed to correct the mistake. Years later they come back to be business partners and get to see their “mistake” again. They get a second chance. Not everyone is so lucky! I love that Silver is an independent woman and doesn’t let a man change that. She is head strong and an entrepreneur. I love Happily Inc. I wish there were towns like those that are in the imagination of Susan Mallery! Her books hep you forget the craziness of a world for a short period of time and believe maybe there is some good out there!

Not quite over you was such a great story. This was an awesome second chance romance. We meet Silver and Drew in this story. They were high school sweethearts that forwent their separate ways after high school. The chemistry we see with these two awesome characters will have you wanting more of their story. Love this authors writing style and how you get sucked into the story. Definitely give this one a 5 star rating.

First I have to say I loved Silver and Drew’s story. It is a book about second chances, overcoming the things that life throws at you, and finding your niche in life. Not Quite Over You is a great addition to the Happily Inc series, but it also does well as a stand-alone introduction (and it makes me curious about Wynn’s story because she’s got issues).
  • Worth the read

Not Quite Over You is quite worth reading. The story could gave been written about a couple I know. This is a nice, fun read that brings out several emotions, laughs, tears, even frustration! Ms Mallery has provided us with another escape into her imation and I for one am grateful. Read the series (Happily Inc), read the hook. You won’t be disappointed!

Each book in this series is better than the last. I loved this story. Silver and Drew were involved when they were 18 but broke up when Drew went away to college. Silver has never gotten over him but did not want to admit that she loved him. Fast forward 11 years and they are brought back together in a business deal. Without giving too much away, they both have to deal with their feelings for each other. Susan Mallery knows how to tell a love story with humor and usually has me in tears in the end. You will love this book and the entire Happily Inc. series. I look forward to many many more!

I really looked forward to reading Silver’s story. I knew there had been more to her than the strong, fearless woman she puts forth. She had dreams, big dreams about expanding her business AcolHaul. Her first love, Drew, saw a way to help her while keeping Silver’s pride in tact. She is very reluctant as we come to see that she never got over him from that summer so many years ago. But the desire to see her dreams come true pushed her to accept his help. From there they worked through many, many obstacles and find a way to navigate life in all its messiness. I loved all the twists and turns, catching up with old friends from Happily, Inc. I want to move there and be a part of the girlfriends club! I’ll highly recommend this book as it is a wonderful and enjoyable story.
